George Francis Black, 74, of Ozark, AR, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in his home. He was born June 5, 1932 in Johnson County. He was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods and a farmer. He was a member of the Society for the Preservation of Blue Grass Music of America, the Arkansas Blue Grass Association, Green Country Blue Grass Association, Blue Grass Jammer, Nominated 3 years for Entertainer of the year, #1 Entertainer in the Rio Grand Valley in Texas, a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Roseville Assembly of God.

The Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife Mona, of the home; one daughter Ramona, of the home; one son Buddy, of Siloam Springs; on sister Tyance Dexter of Midway; one brother Melvin Black of California; and two Grandsons.

The family will visit with friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
