Obituary

Harvey Eugene Dotson, who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born February 14, 1938, in Panama, Oklahoma. He was almost 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Blythe) Dotson; a daughter, Theresa Anne Dotson; a great-grandson, Jameson Walls; and his brothers, Sonny and Jerry Dotson.

Gene worked many years as a master millwright and welder. He was a member since 1972 of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, and he was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. His hobbies were tinkering with electronics and sampling Janice's concoctions.

Rosary services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by three daughters, Linda, of the home, Janene Dorman and husband Daniel of Fort Smith, and Heidi Montang and husband Richard of North Platte, Nebraska; two sons, Michael Dotson and wife Beverly of Charleston and Ricky Dotson and wife Lori of Fort Smith; (20) grandchildren, (37) great-grandchildren, and (2) great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ian Dotson, Steven Walls, Thomas Dorman, Daniel Dorman, Jacob Bales, Michael Dotson, and Loren Dyas.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. til rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.
