Gary E. McAllister of Midland, Arkansas, died Monday, November 4, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 12, 1952, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to the late Joe E. McAllister and Carol V. (Cash) McAllister. He was 72 years old.

Gary was an U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. For several years, Gary worked at Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith. He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue (McCoy) McAllister; four daughters; a son; four sisters; numerous grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

His body will be cremated and will be buried at Fort Smith National Cemetery. There will not be a service.
