Gary L. Littrell of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at his home. He was born December 13, 1938, in Jefferson, Iowa, to the late Harold A. Littrell and Mona J. (Mitchell) Littrell. He was 82 years old.

He was a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force and a Vietnam War Veteran.  He was the previous owner of Lavaca Hardware Store in Lavaca, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth I. (Fay) Littrell; two sons, David E. Littrell and his wife Geri of Senoia, Georgia, and Danny L. Littrell of Fort Smith; two daughters, Carol L. Meinert and husband Steve of Mulberry, and Colleen E. Colquette of Texas;  his brother, Lowell Littrell and wife Marlene of Missouri; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 6th, at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith.
