Obituary

Gary Ray Beasley, a long-time resident of the Caulksville area, died unexpectedly Monday, November 12, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born April 20, 1961 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to John Beasley and Helen Mae (Schneider) Beasley. He was 51 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mae Goff and step-mother, Noma Beasley.

Gary was a retired Master Sergeant, serving 32 years in the Arkansas Air National Guard Unit 188th. In recent months, he had turned his energies to running his trucking firm, Ray & Lou Trucking, LLC, and spending more time with his family and grandchildren. He was also a 1980 graduate of County Line High School.

Known as a generous, tender-hearted man, a loyal friend and a energetic co-worker, Beasley was most passionate about his family, especially his children and grandchildren and his dogs. Home projects, weekend cookouts and frequent visits from a large extended family filled his free time.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, "With Full Military Honors", under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary; one daughter, Amanda Beauchamp and husband Damon of Caulksville; one son, Chad Beasley and wife Shelby of Ozark; his father, John Beasley of Caulksville; two sisters, Mary Bogart and husband Richard of Hackett and Debbie Bower of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Harry Goff and wife Ellen of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Lydia, Addison, and Gavin.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Harrell, Bobby Raggio, Terry White, Gary White, Billy White, Luke Sossamon, Danny Staggs, and Mike Ramsey.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 188th Jet Engine Shop.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
