Obituary

Freda Lorene King, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born June 20, 1926 in Franklin County to the late Benjamin Franklin Francis and Susan Elizabeth (Robertson) Francis. She was 85 years old.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marlon "Mo" King.

Freda was a homemaker, a 1944 graduate of Charleston High School, and was a charter member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 30th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Phil Pittman and Rev. Paul King officiating. Burial will be at Lowes Creek Cemetery, north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Farley and husband Danny of Charleston; two sons, David King and wife Sandi of Van Buren and Frankie Dean King of Van Buren; two sisters, Ladema Hall of Clarksville and Loretta Kraus of Rochester Hills, Michigan; one brother, Leonard Francis of Grove, Oklahoma; (6) grandchildren and (14) great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Flint, George Hall, James Hall, Bryant Lincks, Stan Summers, and Scott Francis.

Family will visit with friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
