Fred Cornwell resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away from this life Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Paris. He was born May 28, 1940 in Chilicothe, Ohio to the late James Fredrick Cornwell and Mary (Downs) Cornwell. He was 70 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cozetta, grandson, Eric James Giddens, great grandson, Gavin Alexander Giddens, former wife, Della, and sister, Nancy Searan of New Mexico.

After high school graduation, he worked as a newspaper printer in California, Ohio, and Florida until his retirement when he moved to Paris.

Married to Della Pauline Sheets in 1961, they later divorced. To this union was born Carrie "Jackie" Phillips, Donald Cornwell of Paris, and the late Cozetta Mulhall.

Survivors include grandchildren, Joshua Giddens (Kim Cassady) of Turkey Creek, LA., Christian (James) Floren of Scranton, Pvt. Matthew Barry of Fort Drumm, NY, Cynthea Barry, Trent Bryant, Rosalyn Laubach of Paris, Billy R. Harrell of Little Rock, Christina Cornwell, Lee, Daniel, and Jennifer Mulhall, all of Sara Sota, Florida; great grandchildren, Savanah and Dylan Giddens, Alyssa and Devon Giddens of Sara Sota, Florida, Zachery Kail of Turkey Creek, LA., and Aleigha Harrell of Little Rock.

"Although my body may not be here, I am still with you. I will have a place set for you when you come home. Remember that I love each one of you for eternity."

The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

A memorial service will be at the family home at a later date.
