Obituary

Franklin D. Nunnelee, who resided in Bentonville, Arkansas, died Friday, October 9. 2020. at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born January 13, 1934, in Ratcliff, Arkansas, to the late James Alfred Nunnelee and Thelma Estelle (Burnett) Nunnelee. He was 86 years old. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Vince Vera.

Frank was a retired school teacher. He taught 2nd and 3rd grade students both in Arkansas and California. Frank had a B.S.E. Degree, was a coach, bus driver, and a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 12th, at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. J.L. Bonds.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Flossie (Bull) Nunnelee; a daughter, Cheryl Duncan and husband Harold of Poteau, Oklahoma; a son, Gregg Nunnelee and wife Angela of Rogers, Arkansas; four grandchildren, LeeAnn Shepherd, Kory Simpson, Joseph Nunnelee, and Curtis Nunnelee; and one great-grandson, Kamden Shepherd.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Public viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
