Frankaleen "Mame" Harrison Wood, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at her home. She was born on July 2, 1962, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Frank and Eulala (Melson) Harrison. She was 59 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Leon Wood.
Mame enjoyed family time from going to band concerts, to listening about hunting/fishing adventures, to going to livestock shows, and camping with Papa and the boys. She enjoyed all the crazy things that her boys put her up to. She was always a phone call away and didn't matter what it was you could always count on Mame. She spent 25 plus years providing and caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Tony Bias officiating. Burial will follow at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by a son, Anthony Wood and wife Bessie of Lavaca; a daughter, Felicia McLeod and husband Michael of Booneville; her parents, Frank and Eulala Harrison of Central City; three sisters, Regenia Jagger and husband Charles of Clarksville, Tennessee, Cynthia Snare and husband JC of Fountain, Colorado, and Christy Wright and husband Bill of Centennial, Colorado; four grandsons, Dustin, Dakota, Dalton, and Landen; three step-grandchildren, Chris, Kayla and Nathan; and eight step-great grandchildren; bonus children, Michael Barron and wife Chevelle of Lavaca; bonus grandchildren, Jimmy and Miley Barron, along with several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mame's Angels, Dustin McLeod, Dakota Sotherland, Dalton Wood, and Landen Wood, and her brother-in-laws, Eddie Wood, Charles Jagger, JC Snare, and Bill Wright.
Family will visit with family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18th at the funeral home in Charleston.
