Francis Leegail Pettit of Antlers Oklahoma, died Monday, July 29, 2024, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on December 22, 1941, in Piedmont, Alabama, to the late Joseph Early and Hazel (Fletcher) Early. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carrol Pettit; two daughters, Patricia Pettit and Penny Pettit; and a son, Carrol Joseph Pettit.

Francis was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Johnny Pettit Timmy Pettit, Terry Pettit and Tommy Pettit; four sisters, Joyce Turner, Linda Watkins, Kay Wilson and Rosie Davis; a brother, Charlie Bittles; (9) grandchildren; and (12) great-grandchildren.
