Forrest Wayne Potts, who resided in Paris, died Friday, June 12, 2020, at his home. He was born March 21, 1945, in Russellville, Alabama, to the late Grady Potts and Sadie (Michael) Potts Jones. He was 75 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-dad, Albert Jones; a sister, Wedonia Jones; and two brothers, Perry Potts and James Jones.
Forrest was a retired food vendor. He was an avid sports fan, and a huge supporter of Paris Eagles athletics and the Paris School District. He attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris and also the Biker's Church located near Paris.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris, with Bro. Dillon Miller officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Baxley Cemetery at a later date. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by two sons, Harold Potts and wife Shelley of Paris and Ronny Reese of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; three daughters, Lynn Sill and husband Kenny of Quinton, Oklahoma, Angela Potts of Paris, and Waynette Rice of Baraga, Michigan; one brother, Glen Jones of Paris; four sisters, Carolyn Jones and Sheila Fairbanks, both of Paris, Dorothy Perrault of Kingman, Arizona, and Kaye McDaniel of Fulton, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Heaven, Summer, Anthony, Marcus, James, Justin, Joshua, Derrick, and Cassie; seven great-grandchildren, Riley, Bentley, Ryker, Marley, Jacob, Brayan, and Zayne and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Dale Dikeman, Jamie Wells, Slim Wilson, Mike Berg, Brandon Krigbaum, Donovan Shelton, Donnie Keezer and Termite Baumgartner.
