Obituary

Floyd A. Barnard resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Paris. He was born March 4, 1914 at Branch, Arkansas in Franklin County to the late Tony Edward Barnard and Eursa Ruth (Cole) Barnard. He was 96 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Miller) Barnard.

He was a coal miner for Arnold Coal Company in Charleston. He was a truck driver and a trader, former member of the Caulksville Baptist Church and attended the First Christian Church in Paris.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. H.C. Varnadore officiating. Interment will be at Caulksville Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by two daughters, Betty Bettis of Van Buren and Ruth Ann Raper of Paris; three sons, Norman Barnard of Paris, Charles "Chuck" Barnard of Paris and Doug Barnard of Caulksville; a special friend, Elsie Downs of Magazine; one sister, Opal "Tootie" Tigg of Lavaca; (15) grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry, Eric, and Ryan Barnard, Justin Todd, Chris Kern, David Raper, Jeff Franklin, Jim Rogers, and BoJo Jones.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
