Obituary

Fletcher William James resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born January 27, 1927 in Bluffton, Arkansas to the late Harvey James and Ethel (Knott) James. He was 83 years old.

He was a retired mill worker in Laytonville, California, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, was an avid fisherman and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22nd, at the First Assembly of God in Paris, with the Rev. Kenny Maness and and Rev. Tommy Frisby officiating. Interment will be at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lena Mae James, of the home; four daughters, Kathy Kroeger & husband John, of Ukiah, California, Eileen Underwood of Nice, California, Angela James & Fiance' Johnny Fink, of Lubbock, Texas, and Linda Ritter & husband Terry, of Fort Smith; two sons, Vic James & wife Pam, of Caulksville and Dewayne James of Barling; two sisters, Janie Stillwell and Ruby Joyce Long, both of Hot Springs; three brothers, Leroy James of Indiana, Bill Raby of Arkansas, and Harvey James of Leachville, Arkansas; (16) grandchildren and (18) great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tim Pettigrew, Mike Pettigrew, Fred Sharp, Randy Sharp,Daniel Honea, and Quinton Rowan.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
