Irma Faye Gray, who resided near Subiaco, Arkansas, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston, Arkansas. She was born on October 21, 1920, in the Shoal Creek Community in Logan County, Arkansas, the only child of the late Otto N. Lasater and Ruth M. Scrudder Lasater. She was almost 103 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold L. Gray.
Faye was a 1938 graduate of Paris High School. She worked as a secretary in the AAA office in Paris and the Richmond, California Tank Depot before marrying Harold Gray in 1944. They had one child, Gary. Faye was a loving wife and mother and a friend to all, especially cats. She could cook up a storm and she played a mean harmonica. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3rd at Ellsworth Cemetery near Subiaco, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Norlan Scrudder.
She is survived by her son, Gary Gray of Subiaco; two nieces, Colleen Gray and Sylvia Gray, both of Grand Bay, Alabama; and many special relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Charles Mosely, Montana Hoing, Lyndall Hamilton, Larry Parsons, Ray Gack, and Tom Noyce.
The family will visit with friends at Ellsworth Cemetery following the service.
