Evelyn Ruth Metzger of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1933, in Geneva, New York, to the late Thomas Francis Mahan and Jeannette F. (Coleman) Mahan. She was almost 90 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Eugene Metzger; a son, Jon Metzger; a brother and sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Lorry Kasprytzki and husband Fred of Van Buren; a sister, Margaret Reese of Florida; a granddaughter, Cindy Metzger; and two great-grandchildren.
