Mary Evelyn Langston, who resided in Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born January 11, 1926 in Cecil to the late James Wilson Russell and Belah S. (Eubanks) Russell. She was 88 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Duard Welton Langston; one son, Welton Ray Langston; four brothers, Leon, Clayton, Paul, and Wayne Russell.
Evelyn was a homemaker and member of Oak Grove Community Church near Cecil.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Lee Kemp officiating. Burial will be at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Brickey and husband Philip, Donna Kemp and husband Eddie, and Mary Beth Hancock, all of Fort Smith; two sons, Steven Langston of Barling and Michael Langston and companion Susie West of Altus; one sister, Hazel Rainwater of Barling; (11) grandchildren and (14) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Russell, Bill Russell, Phillip Russell, Paul Rainwater, and Greg Brickey.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
