Evelyn Farrar Hanger resided in Paris, Arkansas, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris. She was born October 14, 1922 in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Jack Farrar and Bessie (Wallingford) Farrar. She was 87 years old.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hanger and one brother, John Keith Farrar.
Evelyn along with her husband James, was owner & operator of James Adjustment Service in Huntington, West Virginia. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post # 3431 and member of the First Christian Church in Paris. While living in Huntington, she was affiliated with Johnson Memorial United Church, Christ the King Lutheran Church, and St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19th, at the First Christain Church in Paris, with Rev. H.C. Varnadore officiating the service. Burial of cremains will be in Huntington, West Virginia at a later date.
She is survived by two sons, Bob White & wife Debi of Paris and John White & wife Christie of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First Christian Church in Paris or the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post # 3431.
