Ernest Burl "Trey" Perkins, III, who resided in Poteau, Oklahoma, died Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 24, 1977, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Ernest Burl Perkins, II and Andrea (Ledbetter) Perkins. He was 44 years old.

Trey was a paramedic and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jolene (Wright) Perkins; his father, Ernest Perkins, II of North Carolina; his mother, Andrea Perkins of Durant, Oklahoma; a brother, Skyelar Perkins of Durant, Oklahoma; a sister, Morgan Holmes of North Carolina.
