Obituary

Erick Allan Stewart, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at his home. He was born September 22, 1990, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, to Craig and Kay (Humerickhouse) Stewart. Erick was 30 years old. Erick was preceded in death by his father, Craig Stewart; grandparents, John and Mary Humerickhouse and Earl Stewart.

Erick was a full-time employee for Pepsi Company where he made a name for himself. His boss nicknamed him "Superman" based on his strenuous work ethic and dedication to his job. He also worked as a farm hand when he was not working for Pepsi. He loved to play games with his nieces and nephews. Erick always had a smile on his face and made everyone around him laugh. He was very welcoming to everyone he encountered. Erick was a protector by instinct and gave his love willingly to his family and many friends. In his free time, Erick loved watching movies, hanging out with friends, playing games, lifting weights, as well as playing the guitar and singing. He recently adopted two puppies, Scoot and Savannah, and loved taking them for walks. Erick was a 2009 graduate of Charleston High School. Erick was named the Brandon Burlsworth player of the game in the 2008 State Championship football game for the Charleston Tigers. He was awarded for his many achievements in football and he is the all-time leading tackler for the Charleston Tigers. Erick loved his family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 10th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his mom, Kay Stewart; a sister, Katie Holloway and husband Mark of Charleston; a brother, Matt Stewart and wife Rachel of Charleston; his grandmother, Shirley Stewart of Ottawa, Kansas; four nieces and nephews, McKenna, Daeton, Maelee, and Kade; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Shelby, Buck Fleming, Bill Oldenbroek, Kelly Sayavongsa, Brock Williams, Deekota Tobey, and Jace Tilley.

Honorary pallbearers are the 2008 State Champion Charleston Tigers football team.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9th, at the funeral home.
