Obituary

Elmo "Toast" O'Bar who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Paris. He was born August 15, 1923 in Roseville, Arkansas to the late Marion O'Bar and Reath (Dicks) O'Bar. He was 87 years old.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill O'Bar; one sister, Mary Magdalene Kuykendall, and son-in-law, Jim Childers.

Elmo was a retired poultry and cattle farmer and member of the Roseville Baptist Church.

Funeral service wil be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd at the Roseville Baptist Church, with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating. Interment will be at McKendree Cemetery, north of Subiaco, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bobbie Lou O'Bar of the home; one daughter, Shirley Brown and husband David of Cecil; one son, Billy O'Bar and wife Susan of Germantown, Tennessee; one sister, Corina Buckner of Ratcliff; three brothers, Delmar O'Bar of Scranton, Sid O'Bar of Ozark, and Kenneth O'Bar of Fresno, California; six grandchildren, Laura Haney, Scott Childers, Will O'Bar, Sam O'Bar, Katie O'Bar, and Matthew O'Bar; three great grandchildren, Derrick, Bethany, and Todd Haney.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Fulmer, Robert, Jim, and Will O'Bar, Scott Childers, and Randy Buckner.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
