Ellen Marie Terry, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home. She was born on October 7, 1943, in Kinta, Oklahoma, to the late Thomas Wayne Leird and Robbie Ozella (Gibson) Leird. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Darrell Leird; and a nephew, Tommy Lamar.

For 38 years, Ellen worked at Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith. She enjoyed junking and collecting different things. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback basketball fan and loved watching Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. Overall she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Windi Acord. The family will visit with friends at 1:00 p.m. an hour prior to the service on Saturday.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cecil Terry; three daughters, Bobbi Leftwich and husband Randy of Greenwood, Danna Day and husband Steve of Greenwood, and Staci Satterfield and husband Kyle of Alma; a son Keenen Terry and wife Kaylen of Ozark; a sister, Carol Ann Lamar of Charleston; (10) grandchildren, Brandon Leftwich and wife Rhonda, Loren Borum and husband Heath, Kyle Leftwich, Easton Satterfield, Madalyn Atkinson and husband Jared, Brooklyn Haddick, Drake Haddick, Alayee Cates, Sophia Terry, and Kaycee Terry; and (6) great-grandchildren.

Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
