Eldon O'dell Cox of the Cox Valley Community near Paris, Arkansas, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at his home. He was born on November 22, 1940, in Paris to the late Ernest O'dell Cox and Lula Gertrude (Hice) Cox. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; a sister, Gladys Robinson; and two brothers, Phillip Cox and Clyde Cox.
Eldon was a 1958 graduate of County Line High School. He was a farmer and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, long-time member of the NRA, and long-time member of Clark Chapel Church of God.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18th at Clark Chapel Church of God, with the Rev. Vondal Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Clark Chapel Cemetery, located in the Cox Valley Community, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by two sisters, Velma Humphreys and Elda Bynum, both of the Cox Valley Community; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Steve Cox, David Cox, Landon Cox, Micah Kuykendall, Destin Kuykendall, and Kip Hice.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Paris.
