Edward Eugene Cox, who resided in Fort Smith, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at his home. He was born September 21, 1956, in Fort Chaffee near Fort Smith, to the late James Earl Cox and Ruby Ray (Brinsfield) Cox. He was 63 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Elizabeth (Pierce) Cox.
Edward had a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He also worked as a carpenter and maintenance for Jim Hall Properties in Fort Smith. He was a great man who was loved by all that came in contact with him. He had impeccable work ethic. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, camping, and spending time in the woods. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
There will be a family held memorial service posted very soon. An updated obituary will posted with time and day of service!
He is survived by his five sons, Bobby Kaempfe of Charleston, Brandon Cox of Fort Smith, Tyler Cox of Charleston, James Cox of Muldrow, and Andrew Cox of Fort Smith; his companion, Elisa Baskin of Fort Smith; five brothers, Tommy Cox of Ohio, Douglas Cox of Spiro, James Ray Cox of Bokoshe, Matthew Cox of Bokoshe, and Neal Cox of Alma; two sisters, Ruby Dean of Muldrow and Melinda "Punkin" Coker of Bokoshe; eighteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
