Obituary

Edna May King of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on March 11, 1927, in Los Angeles, California, to the late John Jervis Quirk and Ethel Hardesty Quirk. She was 96 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donovan King; a son, Paul King; two brothers; and four sisters.

Edna was a homemaker and member of Van Buren Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January, 13, 2024 at Van Buren Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, with Ken Mientke officiating the service. Burial of cremains will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeny Wells of Chandler, Arizona; a son, Lee King and wife Linda of Rudy; 6 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to worldwide work of Jehovah's Witnesses.
