Obituary

Edmund Henry Koerdt resided in Scranton, Arkansas,departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was born June 4, 1928 at Morrison Bluff in Logan County to the late Frank Joseph Koerdt and Rose Mary Weisenfels Koerdt. He was 80 years old.

He was a retired mechanic, a Navy veteran of World War II, member of the Amercian Legion, and member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton.

His body will be cremated under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday night, at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton.

Memorial Mass service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton, with burial of cremains at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Morrison Bluff, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Mae, of the home; three daughters, Betty Humphrey & husband Maurice, of Paris, Karen Bauer & husband Tony, of Scranton, and Margie McClure & husband Stephen, of Subiaco; one son, Jerry Koerdt & wife Phyllis, of Scranton; one sister, Ann Knight of Scranton; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren; David Humphrey, Greg Humphrey, Leslie Koerdt, Denise Baker, Jason Bauer, Ryan Koerdt, Elisha Burks, Jennifer King, Eric McClure and Aaron McClure.

The family will visit with friends following the Rosary service Monday night at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
