Earl Stone, who resided near Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Turner Memorial Hospital in Ozark. He was born November 11, 1938 at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain in Conway County, Arkansas to the late William Allen Stone and Ruby Laverne (Marple) Stone. He was 72 years old.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Freda Meek and one brother, William Elton Stone.
Earl was a carpenter, worked on highway construction, and was a member of the Cass Baptist Chapel in Cass.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Will Macsas and Rev. Ron Clark officiating. Burial will be at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery, south of Ozark, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Paula of the home; three step-daughters, Twyla Clark of Little Rock, Kimberly Wooley-Corbitt of Conway, and Deborah Limon of Benton; three step-sons, Christopher Clark of Oklahoma, James Clark of Greenbrier, and John Clark of Damascus; two sisters, Floy Ashe of El Paso, Arkansas and Faye Crow of Little Rock; (11) step-grandchildren and (5) step-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Clark, David Polston, Brian Wooley, Billy Shaver, Clay Corbitt, and Kennith Ivy.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
