Douglas Alan Hice of the Cox Valley Community, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at his home. He was born on October 18, 1965, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Alan Douglas "Red" Hice and Gaylon Joyce (Downs) Hice. He was 57 years old.
For several years, Doug was a Factory Automation Support Technician for Intel Corporation in Beaverton, Oregon. He was a 1984 graduate of County Line High School and he served the U.S. Army. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gaming, hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. Doug had many friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 3rd, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Mr. Jason Brown officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Clark Chapel Cemetery, located south of Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Cantu and husband Darryl of Fort Smith; four brothers, Martin Hice, Kip Hice and wife Kim, and Quentin Hice, all of the Cox Valley Community, and Andy Hice and wife Beth of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Aedin Cantu and Kale Cantu; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Danny Hice, Thomas Daigle, Marshall Drewry, Kip Hice, Aedin Cantu, Ashton Champion, Jamie Bynum, and Heath Lockhart.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home in Paris.
