Dorothy Rose Bannister, who resided in Fort Smith, died Saturday, October 17, 2020, in her home. She was born April 10, 1955, in Ogden, Utah to the late Paul A. Balbach, Jr. and Shirley Murphy-Balbach. She was 65 years old.

Dorothy was a full-time mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Christopher P. Bannister of Wilmington, North Carolina; a sister, Cynthia Whelan of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Paul A. Balbach, III of Chicago and John Ross Balbach of Metairie, Louisiana; and two grandsons, Cash Willis and Liam Garrett Bannister, both of Wilmington.
