August 21, 1934 – July 3, 2025
Romeo, Colorado resident Doris Ann (Freeman) Farmer, 90 years old, joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Doris was born on August 21, 1934, in Arkansas.
On February 27, 1950, Doris was joined in Holy matrimony to her best friend and life partner, James William Farmer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being in her garden, flowers, hummingbirds, fishing, spending time with her cherished family, cooking, mushroom picking, and being up in the mountains of Colorado.
Doris was preceded in death and welcomed in heaven by her husband, James William Farmer; her father and mother,Osnie Ray Freeman and Velma Evelyn (Walton) Freeman; a granddaughter, Melissa Ann (Sisneros) Labato; and a cousin, Terry Kremers.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11th at McKendree Cemetery, located north of Subiaco, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
Survivors include her two sisters, Betty (Freeman) Kremers and Caroline (Freeman) Ashley, both of Arkansas; her three children, Judy Ann (Farmer) Martinez of Ortiz, Colorado, Ronald Eugene Farmer and wife Lucy Mae (Shultz) Farmer of Manassa, Colorado, and Brenda Rena (Farmer) Lucero and husband Paul Cristobal Lucero of Ortiz, Colorado; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Keith Kremers, Michael Lucero, Jr., Paul Lucero, Boyd Farmer, Kevin Farmer, and Shannon Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers are Judy Farmer Martinez, Gerald Sisneros, Ronald Farmer, Ronald Farmer, Jr., William Farmer, Brenda Lucero, Tiffany Lucero, Nathaniel Comacho, Natalie Camacho, Trinity McClellan, Scott Lucero, JoAnna Lucero, and Airyanna Sisneros.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Paris.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa, Colorado, and Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Arkansas.
