Obituary

Dora Lou Gipson resided in Central City, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born January 18, 1937 in Barling, Arkansas to the late Ralph Chronister and Anivea (Parker) Chronister. She was 73 years old.

Dora was a homemaker and was a member of the Central Free Will Baptist Church in Central City.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Central Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Chronister and Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Interment will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, south of Lavaca, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Lane Gipson, of the home; one daughter, Glenda Reed & husband Greg of Lavaca; four sons, Curtis Gipson & wife Brenda of Lavaca, Kenneth Gipson & wife Julie of Hot Springs, Wade Gipson and Eddie Gipson, both of Central City; one sister, Sue Brown of Lavaca; two brothers, Rev. Raymond Chronister of Barling and Dale Chronister of Lavaca; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Riley Brown, Russell Brown, Dale Chronister, Logan Chronister, Jeremy Chronister, and Greg Reed.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
