Donnie Gene Pierce, who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 14, 1952, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Fred Pierce and Cleo (Bonner) Pierce. He was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ray Dean and Harley Pierce; and two sisters, Rosemary Jones and Darlene Mantooth.

Donnie was a 1970 graduate of Lavaca High School. He was a retired foreman for Dale Crampton Company in Fort Smith and member of Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19th at Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Pearcy and Pastor Buddy Corbell officiating. Burial will follow at Cecil Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy (VanGlider) Pierce; his children, Donnita Pierce of Fort Smith, Tanya Davis and husband Jerry of Greenwood, Matthew Pierce and wife Candie of Greenwood, Beverly Mason and husband Robert of Charleston, Cindy Andrews and husband Mitch of Lavaca, and Jennifer Patterson and husband Jason of Ozone; two sisters, Dorothy Williams of Charleston and Velta Oxfored and husband Everett of Mansfield; a brother, Larry Pierce and wife Yvonne of Greenwood; (22) grandchildren; and (23) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and close friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18th at the funeral home.
