Donald Ray Bullock, who resided in Alma, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 26, 1944, in Lynwood, California to the late Darrell Floyd Bullock and Willa Lois (Cockrall) Bullock. He was 72 years old.
Don was an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a retired Tech Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a patrolman with Paris, Texas Police Department. He was captain with Sebastian County Sheriff's Department, member of Sebastian County Mounted Patrol, dispatcher for Crawford County Sheriff's Department, field inspector for multiple mortgage companies, and most recently, chief investigator for Crawford County Coroner's office. Don was a 1962 graduate of Northside High School.
Graveside service, with full military honors, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13th, at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by four daughters, Melanie Lynn Martin and husband Roger of Charleston, Lois Elizabeth (Beth) Fryar and husband Max of Mountainburg, Cybille Donnette (Donnie) Hernandez and husband Benny of Superior, Arizona and Susan Rae (Susie) Klein and husband Billy of Alma; four grandsons and sixteen granddaughters; four great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters; and his puppies, Goober & Scooter, who he loved more than anything in this world.
Pallbearers will be the U.S. Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie and Pam Wells, Mike Swaim, Johnny Jack, Dr. Mehl, Pinky Junge, and Jim and Liz Freeman.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
