Doyle Edwin Bowman, Jr., who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at his home. He was born on August  8, 1982, in Ozark, Arkansas, to Doyle Edwin Bowman, Sr. and Tina Joe (Morrison) Bowman. He was 41 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Bowman; a sister, Patience Bowman; and a brother, Christopher Bowman.

D.J. was a maintenance supervisor for Americold Logistics in Fort Smith. He loved hunting, but he especially loved  taking his son fishing. D.J. had many friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston at a later date.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jennifer (Storey) Bowman; his son, Brady Bowman of the home; his father, Spider Bowman of Ozark; three sisters, Samantha Bowman and Sabrina Bowman, both of Ozark, and Brittany Womack and husband Bruce of Lamar; three brothers, Billy Ray Bowman, Randall Bowman and wife Madison, and Aaron Bowman, all of Ozark; and many extended family and friends.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21st at the funeral home.
