Derek Shay Morris, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on March 15, 1989, in Little Rock to Stanley William Morris, Sr. and Loretta Fay (Pendergraft) Morris. He was 33 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Fay Morris, and his brother, Stanley Morris, Jr.

Derek was employed by Simmons Foods, Inc. in Van Buren. He loved music, skeet shooting, but most of all, his biggest enjoyment was watching movies.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Father Norman McFall officiating. Burial will follow at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Alaina (Dyce) Morris; his father, Stanley Morris, Sr. and his companion Judy Enslen of Ratcliff; his sister, Natalie Foster and husband Chris of Ratcliff; a step-brother, Jeremy Enslen of Lavaca; his grandpa, Jack Morris of Paris; four nephews, Cameron and Dillon Foster and Gabe and Jasper Enslen.

Pallbearers are Dillon Foster, Cameron Foster, Gabe Enslen, Richard Lockwood, Trey Hokit, Andy White, and Chris Foster.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Charleston.
