Obituary

Dempsey Duane White of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home. He was born on December 24,1954, in Ozark, Arkansas, to the late William White, Sr. and Exine (Volentine) White. He was 68 years old.

Dempsey was a graduate of County Line High School. He was a retired truck driver for Upstaging and Hickory Springs, and was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 6th at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Sid Ree.

He is survived by his wife, Helen (Allen) White; three daughters, Shannon Farhat of Barling, Sarah White of Seattle, Washington, and Jenny Joplin of Van Buren; two brothers, Carl White of Ozark and William White, Jr. and wife Trudy of Caulksville; three sisters, Ethelda Reichert and husband Morgan of Roland, Oklahoma, Kay Henderson of Ozark and Gwen Franklin and husband Mike of Ozark; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachael, Jaylin and Jett.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5th at the funeral home in Charleston.
