Obituary

Deborah Ann Cole Chambers, who resided in the Coles Chapel Community, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born October 1, 1954, in Ozark, Arkansas, to Jonathan Whitman "Sonny Boy" Cole and Tommie Alene (Taylor) Cole Brophy. She was 65 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven J. Chambers; her father, Sonny Boy Cole; and step-father, Michael Brophy.

Debbie was a LPN for 42 years and retired from Cooper Clinic in Paris. She was a 1972 graduate of County Line High School and member of Coles Chapel United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Vondal Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Coles Chapel Cemetery, located south of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by two daughters, Tommie Lea Chambers and fiance' Derek Bates of Benton and Grace Chambers and fiance' Cody Hughes of Magazine; a son, Jonathan Chambers and wife Brittney of the Coles Chapel Community; a step-son, Chad Chambers of Idaho; an adopted son, Zach English of Branch; her mother, Tommie Brophy of Cecil; her step-mother, Belva Lea Cole of the Coles Chapel Community; one sister, Rebecca Fick and husband Tom of Gambrills, Maryland; one brother, David Cole of the Coles Chapel Community; five grandchildren, Landon Hubble, Matilyn Hubble, Kaylee Hubble, Devin Bates, and Rhett Bates.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Cole, Brian Young, Tyler Young, Hunter Chambers, DeWayne Chambers and Cody Price.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Charleston.  Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we respectfully ask that you social distance and wear a mask inside of the building.
