Daymond Leon McDonald, who resided in Bloomer, Arkansas, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on October 9, 1945, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to the late Raymond and Imogene (Bynum) McDonald. He was 76 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carol (Bledsoe) McDonald, and a brother, Raymond McDonald.
Daymond was a retired truck driver. He worked several years at the Arkansas Charcoal Plant in Paris, and he was a welder.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will follow at Mayberry Cemetery near Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his two sons, Dwayne McDonald and wife Vickey and Dwight McDonald, all of Bloomer; two sisters, Mary Phillips and husband Henry of Ratcliff and Debbie Garren and husband Marvin of New Blaine; a brother, Richard Lane and wife Linda of Booneville; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Tyler, Daniel, Shawna, and R.C.; six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tyler McDonald, Daniel McDonald, Logan Burton, Richard Lane, Buddy Phillips, Marvin Garren, and Chris Garren.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
