David Clyde "Montana" Clifton, Sr., who resided near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at his home. He was born June 11, 1943, in Ingram Branch, West Virginia to the late Daniel Gavin Clifton and Lola Gertrude 'Wriston' Clifton. He was 73 years old.

Montana retired from Buckner-Fleming Concrete and Construction Company in Charleston and Fort Smith.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Ricky May officiating the service. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary-Anne 'Bousquet' Clifton; one daughter, Peggy Jean Crowley of Prattville, Alabama; one son, David Clyde "Pee Wee" Clifton, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Ricky May and wife Rachael of Booneville and Randy May of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Joyce Sherod of Ryegate, Montana, Alpha Mae Hopf of Billings, Montana, and Ellen Marie Johnson of Billings, Montana; three brothers, Edward Clifton of Forsyth, Montana, Daniel Clifton of Sumatra, Montana, and Ernie Clifton of Sidney, Montana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brock, Bryson, Damon, and Randy May, Pee Wee Clifton, and Ronnie Nichols.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Pat Mills, David Whitman, and James Fouts.
