Danny Chris Hixson

Danny Chris Hixson, 74, of Clarksville, Arkansas passed away on July, 2026 in his home. Danny was born on February 10, 1952 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Russell and Reba Hixson.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife Diane of many years, and his parents, Russell and Reba Hixson.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberley McMurtry and husband Brian of Oklahoma, Hannah Tripp and Mark of Arkansas, one son, Mark Hixson and Shanyce, two brothers, Stanley and wife Theresa Hixson of California, Gregory and wife Terri Hixson of Maryland, one sister, Stephanie Canada and husband Mike of Arkansas, and 10 grandchildren, Miranda, Brian, Aidan, Dylan, Marley, Alex, Daymian, Marquee, Erin, Layla, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Danny held many jobs. He worked at Hanes Hosiery, as an electrician, carpenter, and he was a jack of all trades.

Danny was a devoted member of NA group for the surrounding areas. He spoke at many meetings and events. He helped a lot of people by being a friend or sponsor. He always enjoyed the annual campouts, retreats and events. He was well known as “Scranton Dan”.

He was a devoted papa. His kids and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He cherished the time spent talking to them on the phone. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25th at Scranton Holiness Church, with Lee Canada officiating. 

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
