Obituary

David Bruce Brinsfield, who resided in Hatfield, Arkansas, died Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on November 19, 1944, in Buckeye, Arizona, to the late August L. Brinsfield and Myrtle S. (Short) Brinsfield. He was 77 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Brinsfield.

David was a retired engineer for Santa Fe Railroad.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Alma (Juarez) Brinsfield; a daughter, Shari Copeland and husband Jess of Quitman, Arkansas; a son, David Carl Brinsfield of Bakersfield, California; four step-sons, Mark Castillo and wife Christa of Maryland, Angelo Castillo, Robert Castillo and Daryl Castillo, all of Hatfield; four sisters, Faye Ashby and husband Riley of Bakersfield, Nadine Parker and husband Jim of Shafter, California, Betty Fairchild and husband Howard of Checotah, Oklahoma, and Darlene Metcalf of Winchester, Tennessee; a brother, Randy Brinsfield and wife Lisa of Bakersfield; (26) grandchildren and (7) great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith, 914 N. 32nd St. Fort Smith, AR  72903.
