David Paul Bost, who resided near Huntington, Arkansas, died Monday, June 16, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on November 27, 1950, in Fanshawe, Oklahoma, to the late John Bost and Florence Lee (Dees) Bost Thornburg. He was 74 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Wayne Bost; a grandson, Patrick Alexander Nelson; and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lynn Nelson.

David was a retired lineman for a cable company and was an U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.

A family-held memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 23rd at 414 South 4th St., Van Buren, AR 72956.

He is survived by two sons, Pat Nelson of Augusta, Georgia, and Jamie Bost and wife Terra of Van Buren; two sisters, Wanda Braley and Robin Braley, both of New Boston, Texas; four brothers, Jesse Bost of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Steve Bost, Vic Thornburg, and Stanley Thornburg, all of New Boston, Texas; (7) grandchildren; and (11) great-grandchildren.
