Obituary

David Lavern Addington, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born August 17, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Larry Lavern Addington and Shirley Lois (Tobey) Addington. He was 38 years old. David was preceded in death by his father, Larry Addington.

David was the leader and member of Team David. He was also a member of Bass Masters and he was very proud of his Bass Masters ring. David loved to write poetry and tell jokes. He was a member of the Church of Christ. David was loved very much by his family and friends, and he will be missed.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Mr. John Higgins officiating. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Addington; three sisters, Shelley Founds (Robert) of Bixby, Oklahoma, Stephanie Galuppo (Chris) of San Diego, California, and Heather McPherson (Adam) of Nephi, Utah; two nieces, Emily and Anna Founds and four nephews, Robby Founds, Toby, Mason, and Titus McPherson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Galuppo, Robert Founds, Adam McPherson, Buddy Brillowsky, Heath Rainwater, Walter Riddle, Jeff Riddle, Austin McAllister, Rick Burns and Deekota Tobey.

Family visitation will be Thursday, July 7th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Charleston.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Maggie House, a long-term residential facility for children in DHS custody, at 1005 Second Street, Charleston, Arkansas 72933.
