Hazel Darlene McCombs, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born July 14, 1956 in Charleston to the late Delma Blalock and Ruth (Mason) Blalock. She was 56 years old. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Veda Ashing, Nadine Forbes, and Pamela DeMato, and two brothers, Eugene and Eudell Blalock.

Darlene was a dietary manager for PRN at Fort Chaffee and was a caregiver. She was a member of New Life Church in Charleston.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Terry Scott.

She is survived by two daughters, Amanda McCombs of Ozark and Kimberly Elmore of Fayetteville; two sons, Jason McCombs and Scott McCombs, both of Ozark; one sister, Patty Mainard of Spiro, Oklahoma; one brother, Glen Blalock of Pine Bluff, and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Stubblefield, Dagon McCombs, Larry Ashing, Alec Purton, Reese McCombs, Will Martin, and Heath DeMato.

Family visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
