Danny Mark Cheek of McLoud, Oklahoma, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in Shawnee, Oklahoma .  He was born on November 24, 1943, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to John W. and Winnie McIntire Cheek.  He was 79 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe Cheek and John Cheek.

Danny retired from Toledo Scales in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Abbott, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, Arkansas, with Rev. Mark Tobey officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Taylor) Cheek; five daughters, Kim (John) Benno of San Roman, California, Tonya (Chris) Carlton, of Mims, Florida, Melissa Cheek of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Lisa (Dennis) Simmons of Joplin, Missouri, and Patty (Curtis) Woods of McAlester, Oklahoma; four sons, Jeff (Vanessa) Cheek of Roland, Oklahoma, Mike (Dana) Cheek of McCloud, Oklahoma, Rick (Jackie) Tobey of Lavaca, Arkansas, and Mark (Tina) Tobey of Hartford, Arkansas; one sister, Lanell (Charles) Kaufman, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dustin Tobey, Eric Tobey, Kyle Woods, Calvin Cowell, Jay Cheek, Kalen Tobey, Mark Webster and Jared Cheek.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday, December 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
