Obituary

Dane Allen Trotter, who resided in Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Grove, Oklahoma. He was born September 7, 1963 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John Clifford "J.C." Trotter and Sharon Kay "Sherrie" (Martin) Trotter. He was 50 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet LaDean (Breedlove) Trotter.

Dane was previously employed by Schlumberger Oilfield Service Company and U.S. Food Service Company in Little Rock. He was a 1981 graduate of Lavaca High School. He was named "College of Agriculture Freshman of the Year" at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was an avid Hog fan and loved tailgating and barbequing at all the Razorback games, and was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25th at Haven Heights Baptist Church in Fort Smith, with the Rev. Don Bradford and Rev. Eddie Davis officiating. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Geheb of Dardanelle; his father and mother, J.C. and Sherrie Trotter of Lavaca; his companion, Mindy Price of Grove, Oklahoma; one brother, Vince Trotter and wife Stephanie of Lavaca; four grandchildren, McKenzie, Cooper, Emalyn, and Eastin; and three nephews, Grant, Brooks, and Reece Trotter.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Martin Jr., Justin Martin, Mike Ray, Doug Thrift, Darrell Brown, Danny Ray McBride, Darren Haney, and Kenny Brown.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
