IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dan
Beverly
April 19, 1966 – February 27, 2023
Danny Bobby Beverly of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Monday, February 27, 2023, at his home. He was born on April 19, 1966, in Houston, Texas, to the late Olington Bobby Beverly and Delores Costello (Doggett) Beverly. He was 56 years old.
As a teenager, Danny was on the Dodge City Senior High School baseball team, and enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, water skiing, and high diving. But what he loved most of all, was watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. He was a lifetime fan, and often remarked that had he known that the year that he left the service, (1996) would be the last time in his life that they would win a Super Bowl, he would have remained in the Corp!
Danny attended K-State University and studied Journalism and Geology. In 1992 Danny enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1996. While in the Marines, he earned the Rifle Marksman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Navy Achievement Ribbon, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, and Letter of Appreciation Meritorious Mast. For the rest of his life, the thing that he was most proud of, was this service. He felt himself a Marine until the end.
After the Corp Danny began a career in Data Storage and Management, working his way up to Data Center Manager for a company in Alpharetta, GA, and overseeing the company's accounts with IBM, Equifax and G.E. Capitol. He worked for several other companies in that capacity through the years, and then spent the last few years of his working life employed by the Veteran's Administration as a Senior Caretaker at the National Cemetery in Mountain Home, TN. He never married and had no children.
A memorial graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15th at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith.
He is survived by three sisters, DeDe Whipple of Jenks, Oklahoma, Dorthy Mechelle Beverly of Fayetteville, and Josie Taylor and husband Brian of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.
