Constance Reed Oswald, better known as Connie, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born August 9, 1962, in Wurzburg, Germany, to Bobby Lee Whitley and JoAnne Elizabeth (Klug) Whitley. She was 58 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Lee Whitley.

Connie worked for the State of Arkansas Revenue Office and an Assistant District Manager. For several years, she taught adult literacy in Fort Smith, she was avid quilt maker, but most of all, she loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She loved her family very much and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Rick Oswald; her daughter, Joey Sindle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her mother, JoAnne Whitley of Springdale; two brothers, William Menzies of Alma and Rick Menzies and wife Kim of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Kayle, Sebastian, Ethan, and Oliver.
