Clifford Calvin Beavers, who resided near Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016, in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was born June 18, 1945, in Gainsville, Missouri. He was 71 years old. Cliff was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda (Beavers) Berry Lipe; and one sister, Joy Needham.
Cliff was a retired technician for Xerox Company and other companies. He was an U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. He was also a retired school bus driver for Scranton Public School District. He was a member of the Elks Club, an avid golfer and Razorback fan, and he was a member of First Assembly of God in Paris. Cliff was a dedicated family man, not only to his wife and daughter, but to his entire family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21st, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with the Rev. Kenny Maness officiating. Burial "With Military Honors" will be at 12:00 p.m. at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shirley (Wright) Beavers; one daughter, Cheryl Blasingame and husband Robert of Henderson, Arkansas; four sisters, Reba Rollans and husband Leon of Paris, Betty Patton of Searcy, Marie Appleton and husband Bill of Paris, and Linda Chandler and husband Johnny of Paris; four brothers, David Berry and wife Kim of Scranton, Kenneth Berry and wife Teresa of Subiaco, Rick Berry of Subiaco, and Leonard Berry and wife Debbie of Scranton; two grandsons, Ryan Blasingame of Mountain Home and Sean Blasingame of Henderson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Blasingame, Sean Blasingame, Keith Downs, Zachary Berry, Scotty Berry, Tyrell Berry, Kyle Appleton, and Chad Willhite.
Family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
