Obituary

Claudie N. Pruitt who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born February 9, 1921 in Van Buren County, Arkansas to the late Louis Pruitt and Mary Jane (Milsap) Pruitt. He was 90 years old.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Claudie was retired maintenance for a furniture factory in Fort Smith and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Barling.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5th at the First Assembly of God in Barling. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery, north of Hector, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be the Rev. Darryl Billingsley.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Annie of the home; one daughter, Delores Spratley and husband Michael of Visalia, California and one step-daughter, Luan Miller and husband Tim of Harrah, Oklahoma; one son, Jerry Pruitt and wife Myrna of Visalia, California and one step-son, Russell Mangum and wife Willie of Spiro, Oklahoma; (12) grandchildren and (22) great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Hampton, Shannon Mangum, William Mangum, Gary Smith, Jim Eoff, and Roy McCauley.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
