Clara Lee Fenwick of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 18, 1941, in Ratcliff, Arkansas, to the late Admiral L. Sims and Mary L. (Collins) Sims. She was 83 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Donald Fenwick; an infant brother, Daniel Leon Sims; and her beloved dog, Bella.

Clara was a RN graduate of Sparks Nursing School. For many years, she was Sparks Hospital surgical nurse and Director of Surgery. She was also long time owner of National Family Pharmacy. She loved riding and training horses, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandkids very much. She had a selfless love of helping people throughout her life beyond nursing. She gave to anyone in need. She enjoyed traveling and touring with her great friends which includes Sue, Frankie, Dorothy, and Patty. She loved taking friends and family to the beach and going deep sea fishing. She always had a horse to ride and had a special love for animals, especially her dog Bella.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 2nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Hutchinson of Greenwood; two sons, Jesse Fenwick and wife Donna of Fort Smith and Jeff Fenwick and wife Shawna of Fort Smith; a brother, David Sims and wife Pat of Lavaca; six grandchildren, Jesse Fenwick, Maryann Fenwick, Trey Hopkins, Alex Marrone, William Hutchinson, and Mary Hutchinson; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Miranda Sims and Michelle Cross; and a nephew, Mike Griffis.

Honorary pallbearers are Scott Martin, Ron Fenwick, Mike Griffis, Frankie Mozingo, Jason Lentz, John Sidler, Ken Seiter, and Kent Wright.

The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the memorial service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3324 S. M St. Fort Smith, AR  72903, in memory of Clara Lee Fenwick.
